This is the meeting site for the Connecticut R user group. R is an open source language and environment for statistical computing and graphics.

I wanted to create a face-to-face community for people pursuing careers as actuaries, students looking for information, and established professionals looking to offer guidance and advice. This can be a great way to discuss networking, form study groups for the actuary exams, and hopefully get practicing actuaries or companies to occasionally address our group. I would especially encourage non-traditional actuary enthusiasts (career changers) like myself to join up!

Gathering of people who are interested in data visualization. Speaker series - watch and listen to fellow designers, statisticians, mathematicians, architects, programmers, start ups, and other great people in the industry. We hope to have monthly small meetups sharing work and ideas. Also plan to have headline speakers every two to three months in a larger format!

This is a group for researchers, students, and professionals who have an interest in Mathematical Optimization. The goal of the group is to bring together like minded indviduals to further our skills, assist eachother with work and research questions, and create interesting side projects. All skill levels welcome. If enough are interested we can subdivide to better support specific interests. Current, future, and retired interested parties welcome.
